PRODUCT INFORMATION

Foam filled, 7 Gallon Classic Mini Fuel Tank Kit with splash bowl, screw cap, roll over valve, straps and mounting foam. The tank fits into the spare wheel well of a classic Mini. VDO dip tube sender flange OR sight glass version available. 8mm push fittings OR JIC -6 screw up fittings.

Foam filled, 7 Gallon Classic Mini fuel fuel tank with 51mm pipe to connect to an external filler and roll over valve. (please note that we do not supply the external filler cap and neck or the connecting pipe, these will need to be spec’d by the customer)

The tank fits into the spare wheel well of a classic Mini. Concept Racing aluminium fuel tanks are foam filled to help prevent fuel surge and suppress explosions. VDO dip tube sender flange OR sight glass version available. 8mm push fittings OR JIC -6 screw up fittings. If you need a fuel injection return please let us know by Email when placing you order. Bespoke fabrications are our speciality so if you need something different please do just ask.

The roll over valve screws into the tank (JIC -6). It must be vented to atmosphere, in a safe place by the 8mm spigot.

These tanks are sold as a kit, they come with straps and foam for mounting them in the car.

The VDO version comes with the VDO sender unit but not the gauge. Please order the gauge separately. NB: The Ohm range for a VDO sender unit is 60-90 Ohms at empty and 0-3 Ohms at full. This is not the same as the Smiths senders found in most classic Minis. We sell a VDO gauge which will work with the VDO sender. UPDATE 2023 We are now able to supply a dip type sender that will work with the Smiths gauge OHM range, please contact us for more information on this sender unit.

NB: We no longer supply sight glass hose with our fuel tanks – OD of sight glass fittings is 6.5mm)

Clare Daniels joined the Concept Team in 2006 and is involved in all aspects of the business. Clare is a skilled fabricator who has been at Bob’s side for the last 24 years. Over this time Clare has gained an in depth knowledge of dry sump tank manufacture and design, high performance aluminium heat exchangers and fuel tanks. Clare is the main point of contact at Concept and will do everything possible to provide you with a friendly, knowledgeable and reliable service.
