The Concept Racing Porsche R Air cooled 3.8ltr engine 380bhp with a 6 speed sequential box, full cage, 996 GT3 R bodywork and carbon doors.
The carbon bodywork used on this car was made by Reynard for their 2KQ Le Mans LMP900 sports prototype. The body is a fully autoclaved carbon fibre unit over a Nomex core.
This vehicle was built from scratch at Concept Racing, combining Bob’s love of VW’s with his passion for race cars.
Originally a Maguire space framed Hillman Imp, Bob acquired this car in 1996. He set about removing the original fibreglass body and widening the chassis.
